Centre Pompidou, Paris

During a few days off from work, I decided to stay in Paris and rediscover the city as if I was a tourist there. Taking advantage of the weekday, I went to centre Pompidou to see the Henri Cartier-Bresson without the crowd I would get on weekends. What a fantastic exhibition about a fantastic man! I knew some of his photos already but didn’t know much about himself and I have to say I was amazed by the extraordinary life he led.

Not only he was a brilliant photographer who traveled to shoot pictures but he also found himself in incredible situations over the 94 years of his life. From escaping a prison camp during WWII to meeting Gandhi on the very morning of his assassination, HCB did take every chance he had to see the world for himself and be an active participants to the history in making.
