The Caribbean Treasures cruise by Thomson Cruises is a treasure indeed. We spent 7 nights enjoying what can only be described as the perfect vacation. We visited Barbados, St Kitts, British Virgin Islands, St Maarten, Antigua and Dominica. It was a world wind tour of some of the most beautiful islands in the world.

Day 1: Barbados. We went on a catamaran tour. It was so much fun. It included lunch and we stopped for a while to go snorkeling to admire the marine life. A green turtle actually brushed up against me. I could not believe how gorgeous the beaches are over here.

Day 2: Sea Day. We lounged around on the ship, got pampered in the spa, gorged ourselves on delicious food and drank a little too much. Now, this is the life!

Day 3: St Kitts. My first impression of St Kitts wasn’t great. But after getting out of the city I completely changed my mind. We went on a Mount Liamuiga volcano hike which was hard work but well worth the effort. I highly recommend this tour to anyone with decent fitness.

Day 4: St Maarten. I had an amazing day here. We went on an ATV tour all over the island from the Dutch to the French side and back. We also stopped at Airport beach to watch planes take off and land. This is something everyone needs to see at least once in their lives.

Day 5:  British Virgin Islands. After the previous days adventures, we opted for a slightly more relaxing day today. We explored the Main Street, had some lunch in a pub and soaked up the sun.

Day 6: Antigua. We went swimming with Stingrays today. It was awesome! They were surprisingly friendly and affectionate. The beaches in St John’s a so gorgeous, exactly like they look in the brochure: white sandy beaches, turquoise-blue waters. Great day.

Day 7: Dominica. This felt so different to the previous ports and so unexpectedly lovely. The island is covered in lush rainforest and feels completely unspoilt. We hiked up a trail to visit Trafalgar falls which was breathtaking. I also managed to get lots of souvenirs from here like cocoa sticks and some spices. I think Dominica was probably my favorite port.

Finally, it was back to Barbados to disembark. It was an amazing cruise but felt too short. Going on a cruise in the Caribbean is the perfect way to recharge one's batteries. I'd definitely do it again.
