You might have seen in my reviews that I already stayed at a
Lub D branch, the Silom one which I really liked. Let me tell you about the other branch, the awesome Lub D Siam.
Located in Siam, which you might consider the center of Bangkok, this branch was the second Lub D in Bangkok. Like in Silom, the design is a brilliant work and every detail has been taken care of. The feeling is very different though. In Siam, you couldn't be more in the heart of Bangkok and not only because of the location. The entire hostel is open to the street reminding me of the iconic American motels that you can find on the road in the US. You will live, breathe and sleep with Bangkok, quite an intense experience but I highly recommend it.
The location is perfect for tourism as well with really cool attractions around. 5mins away is the beautiful Jim Thompson house and close by the Bankrua village that you HAVE to visit before you can say you know Bangkok. Also next door to the hostel you will find the
BACC, my favorite art place in town. I went there 6 times just because I stayed so close. And of course, since you are so close to the Siam BTS station you can access the rest of Bangkok so easily.
For the rest, it's just like the Silom branch: amazingly friendly staff, cool activities, top confort and cleanliness, all the usual amenities (washing machines, etc...) and a cool bar to get a beer before going out. What else?
