The Monday Map: Useless Stereotypes
Since I've moved to Berlin a few days ago, I figured we should celebrate with the artwork of a local artist. I looked in our archive of map and found this great map made by German illustrator Christoph Niemann. It was originally published on the NYT blog of Niemann called Abstract Sundays that we highly recommend for his brilliant illustrations.
As you can see, a big part of the map is focused on New York where Niemann has lived for 11 years before moving to Berlin. I love how he illustrated the gentrification process of Brooklyn with the "Yuppie" arrows. Always the same process everywhere. In Berlin, my guess is that the arrows would go from Neukölln to Kreuzberg to Friedrichshain to Mitte.
