The HejoMap project maps the trips of travelers who have decided to join the iniative started by team Hejorama.

The default view locates all the travelers on the map with their current location. Click on a name to have more details about the person.

Hejomap is a mapping system designed by Hejorama. It’s built over two main components, a Twitter bot that analyses tweets to locate travelers and a map using OpenStreetMap to display the positions.

The system was created after we realized that the path of the people from the travel community on Twitter were constantly crossing and that we were all ending up meeting in various parts of the world. And then others that we knew were randomly meeting in other parts of the world after we met them. So we figured that it could be fun to map the moves of those people and see where they intersect, where they were, where they are going and who they met along the way.

The main map is available at http://www.hejorama.com/map/. It’s the page that centralized all the travelers that are followed by the system. They are all able to export the map for their own site.
