After publishing Cecile’s pictures of treeplanters in Australia last month, we are happy to present this week her new series shot in Bangkok. We really liked those beautiful pictures, full of life, funny and somehow a little tragic at the same time.
Welcome to bangkok, largest city of Thailand, where everyday 8 million people try to find their way in one massive and city-wide traffic jam. Daring taxis, old buses, motorbikes with 4 people on it and colourful tuk-tuks are what you can expect if you dare to venture yourself on the road. Definitely an overwhelming experience for unprepared tourists but valuable to get a real feel of the city.
Hop on !

Very nice pictures….
I really love the muted tones in these photos. Most people tend to oversaturate but this is really nice.
How come only the Mom gets to wear an helmet? Not very concerned for their kids apparently. Never been to Bangkok but traffic looks crazy. Great pics!
I remember… I like Bangkok for that… But you have forget the elephants ;) There often are people on elephants in the streets of Bangkok, very funny!
Very nice pictures.
Maeva, the elephants have been banned from the streets of Bangkok, but can still be spotted on the outskirts from time to time.
Jsack, only the driver is required to wear a helmet hence the kids are without. Crazy but this will probably change soon.
Thanks Frank for the information. It’s a crazy rule indeed!
Great pictures !
I would add there is other means of transport in Bangkok than road.
Like boats for instance (on the Chao Phraya or in the Khlongs), or subway and also the great Skytrain :)
superbe! comment fais-tu pour photographier seulement certains éléments en couleurs ? comment ce choix s’est t il fait? en tout cas c’est “étrange”
Grade A stuff. I’m uninlstqouabey in your debt.
It’s great to find an expert who can explain things so well
serket: That’s right, the intra vas device. A Canadian invention. It’s in stage three human testing (Canada & US) now and they had to expand the testing as there were so many men wanting to try it. The last I heard, June, was the results look very promising. The only worry being the long term efte.fscWith the IVD and IUD we’d have a good chance of controlling fertility without drugs.
